[Foodchronicles.blogspot.com] Food Chronicles: March 2005: Half pound of unsalted butter, 2 teaspoons of vanilla, powdered sugar until just sweetened. Beat the butter together with the vanilla, then begin adding the sugar until it is at the right consistency but still a little stiff, add a couple teaspoons of milk or half anf half to bring to a spreadable consistency. I used the white to do the cherry cakes and the teeny chocolate ones. I then added a clue to the frosting to indicate inside flavors - Cherry, raspberry dots, coconut on the chocolate macaroon, etc.

[Sff.net] Blog: We had a gathering at my house yesterday afternoon. Several of us got together and fiddled around, so to speak. Aran was fascinated by the violins. We also ate some yummy gingerbread, cookies, and other snacks. Various children were in attendance, and we were able to put them in the basement playroom while we played in the foyer just outside it. I like having a house big enough to entertain in, and one in which people can bring their kids without worrying that said children won't have anything to do. (As Kala put it, "People are bringing their kids? Hmmm .
