Undercover Macintosh

[Archived in Entry]

http://www.bytefarmers.com/log [Warping it up!] According to rumours it is said to run much faster on x86 than the original PowerPC Mac’s. Is it just me who suddenly wants a Xbox2??

Some related posts from Technorati and Google.

http://dotnet.org.za [Dotnet.org.za] Matt's Blog: I really like IE7 (compared to IE6 with tabs *puke*) and I love the bread-crumb-trail Explorer feature. I'm still trying to get used to the Virtual Folders concept and getting frustrated with browsing folders without the Folders Bar.

Johnquiggin.com[Johnquiggin.com] John Quiggin » Blog Archive » Intel inside: Frankly, I haven’t had a closed-source productivity app installed on a home machine in years, so I don’t give a toss (Windows does make a better gaming OS than Linux at this stage). If Apple were in a draconian market position they’d play even less fair than Microsoft does.

456bereastreet.comhttp://www.456bereastreet.com [456bereastreet.com] Intel inside”¦ the Mac | 456 Berea Street: As I understand it Apple are first going to grab the dual-core Yonah chip (which is a Pentium-M), and then by 2007 they will be using serious chips for the PowerMacs, by this time Intel intend to have their desktop chips based around the Pentium-M. When you look at it this way it doesn't seem as crazy that they didn't go for AMD.

[Simon.fearby.com] Simon Fearby's Weblog: August 23, 2005 –In the spirit of fair and open competition, AMD (NYSE:AMD) today issued a challenge to Intel to conduct a head-to-head competition of dual-core x86 server processors. AMD’s proposed dual-core duel in 2005 would be a live, public performance evaluation between server platforms based on the highest-performing Dual-Core AMD Opteron™
