[maobi] Meanwhile, the biggest Mac product news out today is of a battery recall. Please don't burn your little pee-pees by placing an overheating notebook in your lap. Check your batteries to see if they need to be recalled and then go back to Toys R Us where you bought it, for a swap.
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[Maobi.blogspot.com] maobi: Make the government force them. If people refuse to buy sub standard cars, make the government "encourage" them by slapping high taxes on foreign imports. If people refuse to eat Malaysian rice (after all the darn subsidies to the farmers) then limit the import of foreign "beras wangi" (fragrant Thai rice). After all the government is the big stick that should be used to drive all the inconsiderate neighbours and the eevil kapitalists into a behaviour that is more "socially responsible".
[Lovethemac.com] Love the Mac: [The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)] On his site, Dave Taylor has just posted an article that he originally wrote for LinuxWorld Magazine, Ubuntu Linux, Yellowdog Linux and Mac OS X, all on one PowerBook?. For any TUAW readers out there who have ever thought about installing another OS alongside OS X on your machine, for tinkering and testing, this article will prove to be a useful guide and walkthrough of the process, as well as covering some of the pitfalls and incompatibilities that you will encounter along the way.
[Brutallyhonest.org] Brutally Honest: Plainly About Bloggin': And yet, even I have times where politics and thoughtful comments on Americas War on Terror simply takes too much effort. I fear, I have fallen into a major social trend, and one that permeates a great deal of our deployed forces who have internet access. I have joined one of the many online communities, where people present a very basic introduction of themselves and their interests and post this profile for others to search. Meeting new people is the purpose of these groups, and most soldier here are using www.myspace.com as a way to attain pen pals in the states with whom they can talk about everything non-military.
[Trueboy.blogspot.com] BRAND TRUEBOY: 06.04: I can only think of a couple of times that Ive lived in the moment: once, when I was ODing on smack and I could feel my heart beating in my asshole, the beats getting further and further apart by the minute until i drifted off into a flat black sea, another time when I was in a car accident and my face smashed against the front seat and a liquid I immediately recognized as blood rained down on my lap...and i guess you could say i was in the serious here and now that infamous time at Timothy Christian High when I cut my fingers off, but there were so many hallucinogenics in my bloodstream that it's hard to differentiate what was a dream and what was real.
